Travel Resources

Even I get by with a little bit of help . . .

Travel planning can feel like a daunting task. You have to look at various aspects of travel like getting affordable flights, and reliable accommodations, and pick travel-friendly products to record memories and stay connected. You also have to think about damage control if things go wrong (and they will). Prevention is better than cure, mis amigos.

I’ve picked these out from an ocean of options and personally use and trust them to save you (and me) the trouble of decision fatigue.

cheap flights

Momondo is one of the most reliable search engine for finding flights. And you find them at quite the deal sometimes. Book your next flight using Momondo.
Travelling on a Budget is challenging. But finding cheap flights won't be anymore. I browse Dollar Flight Club regularly to find deals for places I'm planning to go. They send email alerts every time there's a deal that can't be ignored. And now with their new premium+ service, they are making travelling business and first class within your grasp. Use code DFCbusiness50 to get 50% off the membership. Even one flight booked will pay itself off many times over.

Booking Accommodation

If I have to look for cheap properties, I always make sure to have a look at Agoda. Can't really leave a great deal behind now, right?
Every time I spontaneously decide to go to a place, I look for property options in the place while on a bus to the said place. They have great deals and most of the properties have free cancellation. If you want to book a property for visa purposes, it's a great choice as you have the freedom to change your plans last minute.

staying connected

Travel Wifi provides Wi-Fi in over 100+ countries. This is a supplement if most of your work is online and need to find internet in the most obscure of places. And you don't have to worry about staying connected with your loved ones no matter where in the world you are.
You need a reliable VPN if you plan to work online or are travelling and want access to services not available in a particular region. For its simplicity TunnelBear in my pick.

travel insurance

SafetyWing provides Travel Medical Insurance at a very affordable price: $37/4 weeks. A great option to stay insured if you're on a budget but still want something to fall back on when things just don't seem to go right while vagabonding.
World Nomads can get a bit expensive, but if you work remotely and carry around a lot of Electronic Gear, you want to make sure it's covered as well. A perfect companion for the Digital Nomad Lifestyle and Adrenaline Junkies.

And the best part, It’s free!

Still can’t believe that it’s almost two years since we first danced to this …

Never missing an opportunity to use a beautiful space next to the beach and under the sunny afternoon sky to do what we love : DANCE 💃🏻 🕺🏾

Earlier this year, on our Goa roadtrip, we decided to stay at a Family Run Homestay by the Riverside in Honnavar.

Here’s how living in a Homestay added a “New Dimension” to our stay in Honnavar:

👉🏼 We got to have yum home-cooked local meals and learnt more about the diet of the people in this region.

👉🏼 Day turned into night as we spend our evening boat watching.

👉🏼 We woke up early to observe the fog rising through the Sharavati river while we sat and watched the Sun slowly fill the sky in its light in the morning.

👉🏼 Being present in the moment and observing the time pass us by ever so slowly and experiencing “The Slow Life”.

Here’s a glimpse of what awaited us at Sunrise the next morning. 🌞

Would you choose a Homestay next time you travel?

“If it's Meant To Be, It’s Upto Me”

It's been one of my favourite Affirmations lately.

It takes away the lack of control from the classic “Que Sera Sera” and adds accountability to your own self and actions to make your dreams happen.

This Affirmation now rests in the very beginning of my BuJo and remind me of the resolve when things seem low.

What are some of your favourite Affirmations?

PS - Did you notice me struggling when my brush pen ran out of ink? Handlettering is filled with moments like that.😉

All Smiles porque Ser Feliz 😀

This was so unexpected and I’ve never danced like this so I was also pretty clueless. Have a long way to go with Salsa & Mambo but I’m glad to have shared this dance with @alan_soldek @erikymonika.salsadancers

Thank you for capturing this fun moment my favourite @soundrider ❤️
